Welcome to what I hope will be your number one source of information for Everything Hannibal Lecter. I have been a fan of Doctor Hannibal Lecter since he was first introduced to us, as played then by Brian Cox, in Manhunter.
I fell in love with Hannibal all over again, in fact more so, with the release of Silence of The Lambs, in 1991 with Sir Anthony Hopkins' assuming the role in his Academy Award–winning performance which made Lecter into a cultural icon. In 2001, cast again as the brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer, Sir Anthony Hopkins turned in a performance that garnered him an Oscar for Best Actor, in Hannibal, securing his legacy as the only actor who could possibly play Hannibal Lecter. How could I be so wrong?
With the success of both films, Manhunter was re-released with a new name of Red Dragon,
directed by Brett Ratner, once again casting Hopkins as Doctor Lecter. Although not seen much throughout the movie, the audience does not ever forget that Hannibal is safely tucked away at the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, under the watchful eye of Dr. Frederick Chilton.
Will Graham is brought back as Doctor Lecter's nemesis, who has to once again consult with Hannibal about the
When asked when he knew for sure he was killed off the show, Raul Esparza played Dr. Frederick Chilton responded with a sly grin "When I was shot in the face."
I wonder how many other dumb questions he gets asked during interviews! lol
Tooth Fairy, a serial killer who has killed two families and was on the search for another. Graham played by Edward Norton, is a brilliant profiler who captured the serial killer three years earlier, but took an early retirement and moved to Marathon, Florida after Lecter gutted him with a carpet knife. Although fully recovered from his massive injuries, Will still found it difficult to say no to Jack, played then by Harvey Keitel, when Jack proposed that he come to Washington to help him catch the Tooth Fairy, splendidly played by Ralph Fiennes, who in future films, plays Lord Voldemort, in the Harry Potter movies. Will tried to reassure his new wife, Molly, that he was only going to "look" and that he
wouldn't be on the front lines. Molly still feared for Will's safety and his state of mind.
2013 brought us a brand new network show called Hannibal which airs on NBC on Friday nights. Behind this shows genius is a truly remarkable genius himself, Bryan Fuller. Bryan has envisioned seven seasons, in fact, he already has them written and was able to pitch the complete series to not only NBC, but to the actors that he had chosen as the main characters.
Filling the very big shoes of Sir Anthony Hopkins, Mads Mikkelsen has proven his ability to portray Hannibal with such ease and grace, that one almost forgets there was ever another actor who played Hannibal. Very impressive, he brings his wit, charm and elegance to every scene, reminding us once again why Doctor Hannibal Lector is the most sought after serial killer of all time.
Of course this series wouldn't be complete without bringing back Hannibal's arch-nemesis Will Graham, played by British actor Hugh Dancy. This show is centered around the time before Hannibal was captured and put in the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. It explores the early relationship between the renowned psychiatrist and his patient, Will Graham. Although they both insist that they are "only having conversations", Will does take advantage of his friendship with Hannibal, as he is often haunted by his ability to empathize with serial killers.
Throughout the pages of my website, I hope to entertain you as well as enlighten you with what I humorously call K.C.`s Deserts which are little tid bits of information that you may or may not have heard about Hannibal. To make my K.C.`s Deserts easier for you to find, there will be a little fork and knife icon beside my words. You may respond to anything I have said, by posting on the Message Forum.
I only hope that I can do the whole thing justice, as Hannibal deserves the best of all of us, not to mention, I don't want to appear rude about anything I write..

The first episode of Season three will have the feel like a "Pilot" episode. The burning question in everyone's
mind is what was Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier doing on the plane with Hannibal at the end of season 2? That question plus so much more will be answered on the first episode. In fact, how they met and the secrets between them will finally be answered. It's all about the Doctors
During the Entertainment Weekly interview, Fuller answered a couple more of our questions.
Question: Is it true, we will be seeing more of Eddie Izzard?
Answer: "Yes. He will be returning in flashbacks."
Question: Will we ever get to see the Clarice character on the show?
Answer: "We are going to fight to get the rights, this story would not be complete without her." It will be interesting to see how well the characters of Will and Clarice get along. It seems that Hannibal is the Moby Dick for both of them.
Question: Rumor has it that Doctor Chilton will be returning as well?
Answer: "He will play a very important part in this season, despite the fact that he was shot in the face."
Season three will begin one year later, after the killing spree from Season Two's finale episode. Season Three's focus will be centered around Hannibal's time spent in Italy, which suggest the re-introduction of some of the Hannibal movie characters, such as Inspector Reinaldo Pazzi.
"We are introducing a lot more characters that haven't been seen yet. Including the Red Dragon, himself, Francis Dolarhyde"
Introduction of Characters in order of appearance:
Season 3 Episode 2 - Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi
Season 3 Episode 3 - Hannibal's Japanese aunt, (by marriage) Lady Murasaki (Hannibal Rising)

So my new friends, what do you all think of this news? Surprised? Shocked? Anger? Which ever you may be feeling, Hannibal has been known to make house calls :)
